2012/12/01 Eden Foundation & Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital
First Contact for SJS and Eden Foundation
Eden learned about the difficulties faced by SJS patients and contacted the ADR association hosted by Dr. Wen-Hung, Chung from Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. From then on, Eden knew how helpless SJS patients could be and started immediately to set up projects to help those in need.
 
2013/07/11 Eden Foundation and ADR Association
First Preliminary Meeting
After more than half a year of developing and preparing, Eden contacted SJS patients to have the first preliminary meeting. There were only two patients and two families joining that meeting.

First Preparatory Meeting
Combining the professional experiences of Eden and Dr. Wen-Hung, Chung, the first preparatory meeting was held with dozens of patients and families joining together in Eden Service Center. At the day, professionals of this field also participated in this meeting, giving out suggestions and advice needed. In the meantime, members of Preparation Committee were elected as well. A big step for the SJS Association

Second Preliminary Meeting
In the Preparation Committee, every member gathered together to brainstorm about how to set up an association. Everyone felt obligated and enthusiastic.
 
2013/11/16 - 2013/11/17 Eden Foundation and Taiwanese Dermatological Association
International ADR Seminar
In order to raise awareness, Eden assisted Taiwanese Dermatological Association in holding “The 8^th National Dermatology Seminar.” In that seminar, US SJS Foundation and French SJS association were also invited, hoping to make great improvement by exchanging ideas with each other.

Second Preparatory Meeting
This was the last preparatory meeting by Eden before founding the association. The members in the Committee proposed problems and doubts about different issues related to policy, predicaments and medical care and, at the same time, prepared for founding the association.

Preliminary Meeting before Founding Association
For the founding conference to go as planned, all the patients and stuff from Eden gathered together to discuss the process.

Founding the Association
With limited resources, Eden foundation helped found the SJS Association and invited all the media in Taiwan to cover the news. It was really a great success.

Patients’ Brunch Gathering and Volunteer Training Courses
A simple gathering offered the patients a place to meet. Eden also invited experts to lecture on the spot for those patients willing to volunteer got a rough idea about what it’s to be a volunteer.

Mapping out in 2013, this website provided a professional platform for the public and the patients to consult to. It was officially launched on 5/31, 2014.
